We take hold of Christ as His Words take hold of us!
Because youth are important to our God, they are important to us! At Newark Community Church we offer the Awana Club ministry to children 3 years of age through teens in the 12th grade. We want the young people of our church to cherish Christ above all and that begins with storing His Word in our hearts and minds. Awana is a part of our total student ministries program to come along side parent and guardians to help them raise their children in Christ.
We are blessed to have the following Awana Participant Levels

Costs & payment
- $80 per child for the year
- $100 if your child needs a uniform
That covers dues, registration and the handbook. A uniform is only needed if your child doesn’t already have one — returning clubbers usually do. NCC members, regular attenders (2× or more monthly), and club leaders can submit a reimbursement request to the office for the registration and book fees.
Please submit payment before Day 1 of the Awana year. Our payment system takes one child at a time, so pay separately for each child. You can also pay by check on the first day of Awana.
The gospel call is open and free in Christ. Hallelujah! Books, pins, uniforms and awards, however, cost money. If you need a scholarship, or would like to fund another family’s, email us at info@newarkcommunitychurch.org.
Common questions
What does it cost?
$80 per child for the year, or $100 if your child needs a uniform. That covers dues, registration, and the handbook. NCC members, regular attenders (twice or more monthly), and club leaders can request reimbursement from the office for the registration and book fees.
Does my child need a uniform?
Only if they don’t already have one. Returning clubbers usually do, which is why there are two payment options.
What if we can’t afford the fees?
Please still register. The gospel is free in Christ; books, pins, uniforms and awards are what cost money. If you need a scholarship, or would like to fund another family’s, email info@newarkcommunitychurch.org.
We’re not members at NCC. Can our child still come?
Yes. Space is limited and scales with how many leaders we have, so registration priority goes first to kids of NCC members, regular attenders and Awana leaders, then to unchurched neighborhood kids, then to kids of families who already have a home church. Register early.
How do we pay?
Online through the payment links on the registration page, or by check on the first day of Awana. Please pay before Day 1. Our payment system handles one child at a time, so if you are paying online for more than one child, submit each separately.
What time should we arrive?
Cubbies begins at 6:45 pm in the downstairs Preschool room. Every other club starts at 7:00 pm. Sparks sign-in is upstairs, at the south end of the church facing Clark Ave.
Who do we contact with questions?
Email awana@newarkcommunitychurch.org and someone from the Awana team will get back to you.
